About “Critias”

Critias is one of Plato's late dialogues that tells the story of the powerful island kingdom of Atlantis and its failed attempt to conquer Athens. The Athenians, organized and orderly, successfully resisted the invasion. Critias is the second in a planned trilogy that includes Timaeus and Hermocrates, though the latter may have been unfinished. The ending of Critias is lost. Some modern scholars group Timaeus and Critias together due to their similarities. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
