About “The 1973 Annual World's Best SF”
The 1973 Annual World's Best SF is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W. Saha. It is the second volume in a series of nineteen. The book was first published in paperback by DAW Books in May 1973, with a hardcover edition released in August of the same year. The hardcover edition had a new cover painting by William S. Shields, replacing the original art by Jack Gaughan. In December 1978, DAW reissued the paperback under the variant title Wollheim's World's Best SF: Series Two, with cover art by Larry Oritz.
