Sue Grafton

Sue Grafton was an American mystery writer born on April 24, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, best known for her Kinsey Millhone Alphabet Mystery series, which began with "A" Is for Alibi in 1982. The series follows private investigator Kinsey Millhone through twenty-five novels, each titled with a successive letter of the alphabet. Grafton received the Mystery Writers of America's Grand Master award in 2009 and died on December 28, 2017, before completing the final entry in her series.
