Tom Clancy

Tom Clancy was an American novelist born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 12, 1947, who became one of the best-selling authors of the late twentieth century. He is best known for creating the Jack Ryan series of techno-thrillers, including his debut novel The Hunt for Red October, which established his signature style of meticulous military and intelligence detail. Clancy passed away on October 1, 2013, leaving behind a sprawling franchise that expanded into films, video games, and continuation novels authored by others under his brand.
