About “And did those feet in ancient time”

"And did those feet in ancient time" is a poem by William Blake included in the preface to his epic Milton: A Poem in Two Books, part of his Prophetic Books. The poem was likely begun in 1804, but it was printed around 1808. It is now most recognized as the hymn "Jerusalem," set to music by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916. A well-known orchestration of the hymn was later created by Sir Edward Elgar. The poem should not be confused with Blake's longer work Jerusalem: The Emanation of the Giant Albion, also by the same author. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
