About “The marriage of Heaven and Hell”
William Blake, an English poet, painter, and printmaker, wrote "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell," a sequence of poems that mimics biblical prophesy. Blake, who was largely unrecognized during his lifetime, is now seen as a major influence on Romantic-era poetry and art. His revolutionary and Romantic ideas are clearly presented in the work. The book's theme, inspired by Milton's Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno, follows the narrator's journey to Hell. The text is primarily written in prose, except for the Song of Liberty and the Introductory Argument.
