Boy is an autobiographical book by British writer Roald Dahl. It covers his life from birth until he left school, highlighting the living conditions in Britain during the 1920s and 1930s, the public school system of that time, and how his childhood experiences influenced his decision to become a writer. The book ends with his first job at Royal Dutch Shell. A follow-up to Boy is Going Solo. An expanded edition called More About Boy was published in 2008, including the original text, illustrations, additional stories, letters, and photographs. The book includes humorous stories from Dahl's childhood, such as his summer vacations in Norway and his time at an English boarding school.
