Confessions of a Mask is the second novel by Japanese author Yukio Mishima. It was first published on 5 July 1949 by Kawade Shobō. The novel brought Mishima national recognition when he was in his early twenties. Some readers and critics have suggested that the main character reflects aspects of Mishima's own life, possibly serving as an autobiographical representation.
