About “Krapp's Last Tape”
Krapp's Last Tape is a 1958 one-act play written by Samuel Beckett. It was written for the Irish actor Patrick Magee and was initially titled "Magee monologue." The play features a single character and was inspired by Beckett's experience of hearing Magee read excerpts from his works Molloy and From an Abandoned Work on the BBC Third Programme in December 1957.
