About “The Gremlins”
The Gremlins is a children's novel by British author Roald Dahl, published in 1943, drawing on his own experience as a Royal Air Force pilot in the Second World War. RAF pilot Gus loses his Hawker Hurricane over the English Channel to a gremlin, and after parachuting into the water convinces the gremlins to join forces against Hitler and the Nazis. It was Dahl's first book, written for Walt Disney Productions for an animated film that was never made. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
