About “The Voyage of the Beagle”
The Voyage of the Beagle is a book written by Charles Darwin, originally published in 1839 under the title Journal and Remarks. It details his experiences and scientific observations during the second survey expedition of the HMS Beagle. The book was the third volume in The Narrative of the Voyages of H.M. Ships Adventure and Beagle, with the other volumes written or edited by the ship commanders. It was reissued in 1839 as Darwin's Journal of Researches and later republished in 1845 under the same title. A 1905 republication gave it the current title, The Voyage of the Beagle, which is now its most recognized name. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
