The Zoology of the Voyage of H.M.S. Beagle is a five-part book published in nineteen numbers between February 1838 and October 1843. It was written by multiple authors and edited by Charles Darwin, who oversaw the publication of expert descriptions of animal specimens collected during the Beagle voyage. The first part, Fossil Mammalia, was written by Richard Owen, and the second part, Mammalia, was written by George R. Waterhouse. The work was first published in parts between 1838 and 1843.
