4 series 9 books in order

Dayton Ward (born June 7, 1967) is an American science fiction author known for his work in the Star Trek literary universe. He began his career with stories in the Strange New Worlds anthology series, publishing in each of the first three volumes. This achievement made him the first author to render himself ineligible under the series' rules, leading to the term "Wardy" for others who accomplished the same. Ward has also contributed articles to Star Trek Communicator and Star Trek Magazine, as well as short stories to various publications. He frequently collaborates with author Kevin Dilmore. Ward has been nominated six times for the Scribe Award and won twice, for Star Trek: The Next Generation: Armageddon's Arrow in 2016 and Star Trek: Discovery: Drastic Measures in 2019. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, he joined the United States Marine Corps after high school, serving in information systems and later stationed in Kansas City, Missouri. He remained there after being honorably discharged and worked as a software developer and part-time writer before becoming a full-time author. He also consults for CBS on Star Trek licensee projects. His hobbies include reading, watching movies, and following sports.
