Michael A. Martin is an American author known for his contributions to science fiction literature. His solo short fiction has been published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. He has also collaborated with Andy Mangels on several Star Trek comics and novels, including Titan: Book One: Taking Wing, which was a USA Today bestseller, and Star Trek: Worlds of Deep Space 9 Book Two: Trill -- Unjoined, which won a Sy Fy Genre Award. Martin has written novels based on the Star Trek franchise, such as Star Trek: The Lost Era 2298—The Sundered and Star Trek: Deep Space 9 Mission: Gamma: Vol. Three: Cathedral. He has also authored three novels based on the Roswell television series. His work has appeared in various publications, including Star Trek Monthly, Dreamwatch, and The Oregonian. He has written nonfiction books for young readers for Gareth Stevens, Inc. Martin lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Jenny, and their two sons.
