About “The Corsair”
The Corsair is a long narrative poem written by Lord Byron and published in 1814 by John Murray in London. The work was released in seven editions within the same year and became highly popular, selling ten thousand copies on its first day. It was a 180-page poem dedicated to the Irish poet Thomas Moore.
