About “Zur Wohnungsfrage”
The Housing Question" is a series of articles by Friedrich Engels originally published in 1872 in Der Volksstaat, later collected into a pamphlet. In the work, Engels critiques the anarchist Proudhonist program of the Right to Buy, labeling it "Petty Bourgeois Socialism," as well as the liberal bourgeois philanthropic approach to housing issues proposed by Emil Sax. He contends that neither of these solutions addresses the underlying causes of housing problems.
