Robin Hobb is the pen name of American fantasy author Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden, born on March 5, 1952, in Tacoma, Washington. She is best known for the Realm of the Elderlings saga, which begins with the Farseer Trilogy — a richly character-driven series following the royal bastard FitzChivalry Farseer. Hobb also writes under the name Megan Lindholm and is widely regarded as one of the foremost voices in modern epic fantasy.
