About “Crooked House”

Three generations of the Leonides family live together in a large, somewhat crooked house. The wealthy patriarch, Aristide, is murdered, and suspicion falls on the entire household, including his two sons, his young widow, and his three grandchildren. Charles Hayward, the fiance of one of the grandchildren, tries to help the police find the killer and clear his loved one's name. This 1949 novel by Agatha Christie is one of her favorites, as she enjoyed writing the type of story that focuses on family dynamics and relationships.
